Product overview
A plansifter gyrates continuously, but the spouts that feed and drain it are fixed to the building. Plansifter sleeves bridge that gap. These flexible tubes are clamped over the sifter inlets and outlets so stock can flow while the sifter moves, without dust escaping or streams mixing.
A worn or torn sleeve is one of the most common causes of flour leaks, dust around the sifter floor and cross-contamination between streams. Because sleeves flex millions of times, mills treat them as a regular wear part and keep spares for every sleeve size on each sifter.
